Features

Audio Output in Trim Preview

When trimming timeline segments, having audio also means the audio stream will be outputted. This allows own to more appropriately evaluate the right trim position based on the audio. Example: finding the correct entry point for an interview situation.

Customized Publish Dialogue Configuration Based on Workflow Input Parameters (Enterprise Version)

One can now configure how to blend in an additional publish step which displays input variables for a VidiFlow workflow. This allows one to hand over parameters entered by the user based on the selected workflow. This offers a significant advantage when comes controlling the designed workflow chain based on user controllable parameters.

Audio Leveling per Track

It is now possible to adjust the audio leveling for each VidiEditor audio track. This is addition to already being able to adjust the audio leveling per timeline segment.

Requires VidiCore 21.3 and VidiCoder 21.3 and VidiStream 21.3.

Audio Waveform Preview for Videos in Source Player

A waveform preview of the audio channels of the proxy videos can be displayed directly in the source player now. This allows the user to better judge how the cuts are made based on the audio signal and to select the best suitable channels for the add to timeline. Mobile Aspect Ratio Cropping

It is now possible to better crop the video generated from the timeline into aspect ratios usable for mobile devices. This option can be set from the timeline player and be previewed in there to evaluate the transcoding output while publishing.

Customized Publish Dialogue Configuration Based on User Groups (Enterprise Version)

The Enterprise version now allows one to configure options of the publish dialogue differently based on the user groups available from the Authentication Service. This allows one to have different a metadata view, VidiFlow workflows, or direct out options for different user groups.

Configuration of Project Bin Grid Columns (Enterprise Version)

It is now possible to configure the grid columns of the Project Bin via ConfigPortal to use custom metadata fields or to change the ordering of the columns. For more information, please see Project bin grid configuration [VE 21.3 OG] .

Event List View Support from External Services

Different types of segment lists can be used to easily find the needed content inside used media. This includes a subview displaying the different segments available depending on the system design and integrated services writing those segment lists. Examples can be a thumbnail overview, camera card subclips, subtitles or a speech to text transcription. Dynamic Grid Headers in the Project Bin, Media Search and Project Search

Users can now dynamically adjust the width of the header columns.

Partial Media in MediaPortal Collections

In a combined scenario using VidiEditor and MediaPortal’s handed over collections, VidiEditor supports partial media inside MediaPortal collections. This respects the IN and OUT points set in MediaPortal to be reusable in VidiEditor's source player as well as in the “add to timeline” interaction. Collection Support

VidiEditor now supports collections from MediaPortal in the Enterprise version as well as generic collections, such as for VidiCores’s content viewer. This includes searching, import to project, an overview of the collection in VidiEditor’s bin, as well as adding the complete collection to the timeline as a rough cut edit.
